"Members of Tadcaster Stax Scooter Club recently took to the airwaves to talk about their favourite pastime and the chequered history of the club. BBC Radio York presenter Adam Tomlinson put veteran scooterist Billy Hick through question time on the lunchtime show. Joined by fellow members Lisa Langham & Joanne Bridges, Billy - a youth leader at Tadcaster Manor Farm Youth Club - took time to talk about former rivalries between local mods and rockers but assured listeners that friendships had been made with fellow two wheel enthusiasts in Wetherby and Sherburn over the past decades. Absent members chose the accompanying music and were among many excited friends and relations who tuned in to listen."
